LOS ANGELES CHAPTER
We first served people in need in the Los Angeles area in 2021. Since then, we have worked with healthcare facilities, including training 20 nurses to better assist people in greatest need, including those experiencing homelessness, and have recently expanded our Los Angeles work through this chapter.
Our Homelessness Services:
Our chapter provides multifaceted programming for people experiencing homelessness and low-income families. We welcome people to help on the street through direct outreach, or remotely from their own homes.
By mobilizing on the ground in neighborhood spaces, our dedicated team sets up vital distribution points to deliver essential supplies and face-to-face support. ThisĀ approach allows us to combine hands-on field action with deep community care to bring help and hope to people in greatest need.
Mentoring & Training:
Our expert trainers help educate community members to mentor children and adults, particularly people in great need, along with providing team-building and community building activities. We regularly train Street Care and Bright Mind members, as well as members of the larger community, to serve and support a variety of populations safely and effectively.
Our work focuses on providing social and emotional support. We also teach people practical skills that help them develop emotional resilience and self-sufficiency.
