Welcome to the Street Care app. We provide information to help community members like you approach homeless people with appropriate resources, tools, and support. You can either log in, sign up, or continue as a guest. Let’s continue as a guest.

Here on the screen, you’ll see a few options to access our toolkit to help homeless people. When you scroll down, you will get an introduction to the Street Care app as well as instructions in using the app. Here at the bottom, you can tap the Join Us button, where you can connect with our team and read what we do on the Street Care website.

Here on the Start Now tab, you’ll be taken to a section that instructs you on how to help homeless people. There are three tabs: Before, On the Street, and After. The Before tab introduces you to the process of Street Care outreach. When you tap the I Want to Help button, it displays a page that allows you to fill out information for planning your visit to help homeless people. Below is the ‘What to Bring’ area that shows you what to bring for homeless people. For instance, when you tap on ‘healthy snacks’, it displays more information on what kind of snacks to bring.

The On the Street tab displays dozens of videos that provide useful info on the topic of homelessness and how to approach it. Finally, the After tab allows you to log your visit.

Let’s tap on the Log Your Visit button. Here, you can fill out information about your experience with your outreach. Your outreach allows us to improve Street Care, bringing more content and services to you.

Let’s go back to the main menu and tap the What’s a Gift tab. When you tap the Key Resources button, this displays detailed info on what items to give to homeless people aside from donation items. There are more aspects of our toolkit that provide all the useful information you’d need when helping homeless people.

Let’s go back to the main menu one more time and tap the How-To Video tab. Here, you can find a series of how-to videos which cover crucial topics.
