Street Outreach and the Pandemic: CDC Guidelines
๐บ Watch the Video
It is possible to perform street outreach safely during the pandemic. When performing street outreach and adhering to CDC guidelines, we suggest maintaining six feet between yourself, outreach peers, and homeless individuals to prevent possible exposure as much as possible. The CDC also suggests wearing masks over the mouth and nose while out in public, and washing your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds, plus avoiding touching your face.ย
ย
If soap and water are not available, please use hand sanitizer. Please stay at home if you might have been exposed or are symptomatic. Lastly, make sure to check your city’s COVID-19 guidelines and procedures for any additional steps to stay safe while you’re out. Thank you for helping underserved communities in these trying times.
ย
- – Follow CDC guidelines at all times.ย
- – Stay home if you are sick or have come into contact with sick individualsย
- – Check your local regulations for more guidelinesย
